In the wake of the horrific motorway incident where 2 men raped a woman in front of her kids, there have been countless promises by the officials to announce the gravest of punishments for rapists. But even if the punishment is decided, who will they punish? Days have turned into weeks and weeks will turn into months with no news of the rapists ever being caught.
And the thread you’re about to read by Javaria Waseem on the appallingly high number of rapes in September alone will make you furious:
On Sep 9, 2020 a woman, travelling on motorway, was robbed and raped in front of her two kids in Pakistan. It shook the whole nation. Protests were arranged and officials jumped in front of the cameras to make promises. Not again, they said.

Starting with September 1st, when a boy went missing:
A few days before, on Sep 1, 2020 a 14-year-old boy went missing in Faisalabad. His body was found in the fields near Faisalabad’s Liaquatabad Road. He was raped and murdered by the neighbour.

The very next day another boy was shot for resisting the rapists:
On Sep 2, 2020, A 14-year-old boy was shot in Muzaffargarh’s Bet Mir Hazar Khan for resisting a rape attempt by three men.

The same day a widow was gang raped, filmed and the video was uploaded to social media:
On Sep 2, 2020, a widow was raped by her employer and three of his friends in Muzaffargarh’s Alipur. The attack was filmed and then later uploaded on social media.

September 3rd a woman was raped at gun point:
On Sep 3, 2020, a girl named Saima was taken to an unknown location in hopes for a job where she was sexually assaulted at gun point. Nasir Abbas and other his accomplices raped Saima twice. They also kept her in custody for two hours. She was later dropped off at a bus stop.

Next day Marwah’s torched body was found:
On Sep 4, 2020, a five year old girl, Marwah, was found raped and burned to death in Karachi, two days after going missing.
Police said the girl’s burnt body was found in a piece of cloth at a trash heap on a plot.

The very next day a TV anchor was shot:
On Sep 5, 2020, Shaheena Shaeen, a local anchorperson at state-owned broadcaster PTV and editor of a local magazine, was shot dead in her house as a result of domestic violence.

6th September, another girl raped:
On Sep 6, 2020 a 15-year-old girl went missing. She was raped and poisoned in a field nearby. She died before making it to the hospital.
The accused man was apparently in a relationship with the victim's sister who had recently died by suicide.

2 days later a 6 year old became the victim of the same monstrosity:
On Sep 8, 2020, a six-year-old girl was raped in Rawalpindi’s Morgah. The girl went out to buy essentials from a nearby shop. When she was returning home, the suspect caught hold of her and forcefully took her to his house’s terrace where he raped her.

The very next day, the nation was shaken after the motorway incident surfaced:
On Sep 9, 2020, the nation woke up. The news crawled everywhere, on every screen, every paper. Drawing room discussion got louder. Women took it out on the streets. Promises were made again. Not again, they said.

You’d think the extreme reaction from the public would scare these people, but the very next day another woman was gang raped:
On Sep 10, 2020, a woman was gang-raped in Tehsil Taunsa Sharif of Dera Ghazi Khan district.
Fayyaz Ahmed and Ilahi Bakhsh, scaled the wall of her house in Retra village late at night. They tortured and gang-raped the woman before fleeing the scene.

The same day a 13 year old was assaulted within the remits of a police station:
On Sep 10, 2020, a 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted within the remits of Sabzi Mandi police station in Gujranwala. Accused identified as 22-year-old Gul Sher was arrested after the victim’s father apprehended him red-handed while rescuing his daughter.

2 days later a 4 year old was found screaming as a man tried to assault her:
On Sep 12, 2020 a 4 year old went out to the candy store in Tandianwala. The parents heard their daughter screaming and discovered a man trying to assault her in a baithak. The victim’s mother was also abused and beaten in this incident.

Next day, another worried father found a man trying to assault his daughter:
On Sep 13, 2020, In Chak number 547, a resident saw a man trying to rape his 15-year-old daughter in the fields. The victim's father had gotten up for prayers in the morning when he heard his daughter screaming.

The same day a police officer assaulted the rape victim when she went for help:
On Sep 21, 2020, a woman in Gujranwala registered a complaint against an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of the Punjab Police, alleging the police officer sexually assaulted her after she called the police emergency helpline 15 for assistance.

The very next day a 20 year old was raped by her brother’s friend:
On Sep 14, 2020, a 20-year-old woman was raped by her friend’s brother in Bahawalpur. She had gone to her friend’s house. The suspect had offered to drop her back home but instead took her to the nearby fields and raped her.

The following day another 13 year old girl was raped by her brother in law and his friend:
On Sep 15, 2020, a 13-year-old was raped by her brother-in-law and his friend in Rahim Yar Khan. The teenager had been staying at her sister’s house to look after her as she was pregnant. She lost consciousness and had to be rushed to a hospital.

Day after, another woman was assaulted:
On Sep 16, 2020, three men were attempted to rape a woman in Karachi’s North Nazimabad Block B. The woman was on her way home when the suspects grabbed hold of her hand and forcefully tried to take her to the roof of their apartment. When she resisted, they beat her up.

The next day, Ibsham Zahid was arrested for harassing and threatening a girl:
On Sep 17, 2020, a student, identified as Ibsham Zahid, was arrested in Lahore for harassing and threatening a woman with rape and murder online. He sent her videos and pictures of himself with weapons threatening to rape and kill her.

The very next day a boy was being assaulted when the villagers heard him scream:
On Sep 18, 2020, a nine-year-old boy was dragged to a deserted place in the village by a man who tried to rape him. Other villagers heard the boy's cries and rushed to his aid.

On Sep 18, 2020, two men allegedly raped a middle-aged woman in front of her daughters during a robbery at a house located in Peoples Colony near Raja Chowk, Faisalabad.

On Sep 18, 2020, a group of men raped a woman and held her husband hostage to watch in Sheikhupura.

The very next day a 6 year old was raped by a 13 year old boy:
On Sep 19, 2020, a six-year-old girl was raped by a 13-year-old boy in Basti Arain village in Jatoi tehsil. He was identified by the survivor.

The very same day a woman was gang raped at the union council office:
On Sep 19, 2020, a woman had gone from Faisalabad to Burewala’s Sahuka town to visit the shrine of Baba Haji Sher Muhammad Dewan. 5 men abducted her and took her to a nearby union council office that was closed and raped her. Locals heard her screams for help & called the police.

The next day a 6 year old was rescued by her mother from the qari who was trying to molest her:
On Sep 20, 2020, a six-year-old girl was rescued by her mother from her religious teacher (qari) who attempted to rape her in her house in Rawalpindi.

2 days later a four year old suffered an assault:
On Sep 22, 2020, a four year old girl was raped by a man in Mansehra. The suspect left the girl in an injured condition and fled from the scene. The toddler has been shifted to a hospital where her condition is critical.

The same day 2 men raped a 13 year old:
On Sep 22, 2020, two men raped a 13-year-old girl near Kot Diji in Khairpur. They took her to a deserted place and raped her. The survivor identified the rapists.

The very same day a woman was forced into a vigo at Clifton, gang raped and then dropped at the same place:
On Sep 22, 2020, two unidentified men abducted and raped a 22-year-old woman standing outside a mall waiting for a ride in Karachi’s Clifton. They took her to a building & raped her. They dropped the woman off at the same place outside a mall the next morning and fled.

This is because of the justice system. No rapist is hanged, put in front of a firing squad or castrated. These monsters will be running wild until they are hunted and killed. Our police and courts are to be blamed along with the mullah mentality. Where majority thing women as emotionless objects.
