A Heritable Milestone: Zainab Chottani dazzles the Parisian Runway at Moda Productions PFW Showcase!

The city of Paris has seen many a designer take its famed runways and tonight it saw and witnessed our very own Zainab Chottani bring a unique nod to South Asian fashion in more ways than one.

Known for their immaculate craftsmanship within their bridal collections along with their sought after lawn and luxury pret, Zainab brought a whole new identity to the Parisian runway while simultaneously keeping it rooted within Pakistan. “Bleu Heritage” by Zainab Chottani brought out pieces that were inspired by the original craft of Hala pottery which has been a long standing element within Pakistan’s culture.

Set in the beautiful venue of the Hotel de Maisons, Zainab’s pieces glided down an immaculately designed stairway that was every bit as Parisian. As music produced and mixed by none other than Shahi Hasan filtered every corner of the room, each model glided down a classically constructed Parisian staircase fitted in pieces that were sculpted out of fabrics such as French lamé, raw and jacquard silk as well as fluid chiffon complete with floral and geometric patterns made up of Resham thread work, kora and gupta etc.

The show was attended by the French Ambassador for Pakistan Mr and Mrs
Nicolas & Camelia Galey and Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch & Tariq Suleman along with Zainab’s family and friends.

For a while we’ve been wondering what Zainab Chottani was referring to when a latest video came out in which she said one mustn’t dilute their identities in order to fit in. For fifteen minutes, the city of Paris received a glimpse into the visionary spirit of Zainab Chottani along with our beloved South Asian elements that make us proud.
