10 Pakistani Films These Celebs Might NOT Want You To Remember Them For!

In showbiz, there are hardly any celebrities who have had careers that have been all about the ups and never about the downs, and that’s a fact. That’s why every actor worth his salt will always accept the flops and bad movies they’ve been a part of! Well, almost, everyone would accept that.

Part of their budding career, many celebs in our industry have selected films, which may have been questionable at best or done roles that were anything but interesting. But, of course, they still did them anyway for their future’s sake.

Which such films are we talking about and who are the actors who probably don’t want their fans to remember them in these flicks? Diva has the lowdown…

Mahira Khan in Verna

Touted to be Mahira’s big return to Pakistani films after the release of her Bollywood mega film, ˆRaees alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Verna was much awaited by everyone. However, the film helmed by Shoaib Mansoor tanked at the box office and Mahira’s film suffered from poor numbers and bad reviews!

Sheheryar Munawar in 7 Din Mohabbat In

After receiving quite the praise for his part in Ho Mann Jahaan, there were high expectations from Sheheryar Munawar with 7 Din Mohabbat In, but it was probably a film, the actor, and all of us would want to forget. It flopped miserably, and even Mahira and Sheheryar’s pairing couldn’t help this dud!

Fahad Mustafa in Mah-e-Mir

Fahad Mustafa is usually considered a hitmaker, but clearly, that wasn’t the case with Mah-e-Mir. Directed by Anjum Shehzad, the film that just couldn’t prop up numbers thanks to its intense screenplay and storyline, which the Pakistani cinegoers just couldn’t connect with at all! Stick to the dramedies, Fahad!

Shahroz Sabzwari in Chain Aye Na

A Lollywood flick at a time of the new wave of Pakistani cinema, Syed Noor’s Chain Aye Na was meant to serve as the major debut of Shahroz Sabzwari and Sarish Khan into the film industry. However, as luck would have it, the film turned out to be a major disaster and became the worst-performing film of the year. We are NEVER forgetting this film for its nightmare-inducing quality!

Humaima Malick in Dekh Magar Pyaar Se

A big-budget film which couldn’t be rescued by anyone, Dekh Magar Pyaar Se may have been Asad-ul-Haq’s biggest mistake. But, an even bigger mistake it turned out to be for Humaima Malick, who failed to shine at all in the film. No story and lots of glamour, just couldn’t keep this one afloat.

Humayun Saeed in Project Ghazi

An unlucky film beyond measure, Project Ghazi has been one of the biggest disasters to come out of Pakistani cinema’s new wave. The film faced several issues and released two years late, making many question why it released again at all! It was a waste of talent and we just wish Humayun Saeed wasn’t a part of it!

Osman Khalid Butt in Balu Mahi

Osman Khalid Butt’s first major film to debut on the silver screen, Balu Mahi starring the actor and Ainy Jaffri became a nightmare at the box office. The film hardly managed to do business, and within days, the film was off the screens. It was additionally sad in the sense that Osman had left Parwaaz Hai Junoon for this, which went on to become a super hit!

Ahmed Ali Akbar in Ho Mann Jahaan

Ahmed Ali Akbar has proven his mettle with his bravura acting skills in a film like Laal Kabootar, and we’d probably only want to think of that as his debut film! However, much before this thriller released, Ahmed Ali Akbar also starred in Ho Mann Jahaan in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it role! He was hardly seen in the film, and it looked like someone had run the scissors on all his scenes in the film!

Bilal Ashraf in Rangreza

Before Bilal Ashraf could fortify his space in the industry with last year’s superhit, Superstar, he gave us four films which were questionable at best. One such example and waste of his talent was the film Rangreza, which despite being a good narrative failed to do anything for anyone! Now, we just hope it’s more films like Superstar in this actor’s future repertoire.

Usman Mukhtar in Janaan

Yet another role which was even smaller than what the definition of ‘cameo’ would be, Usman Mukhtar in Janaan was definitely something we wish we hadn’t seen. We would love to see the actor in a lead role, and this film did anything but justice to him in the small and useless role he got!
