The New Face of Bridal Heritage: Fahad Hussayn, Aena Khan and Zain Zohaib

If there is one thing Fahad Hussayn has always been able to offer, it’s been a full-fledged production from the melodious sounds of revered local artists to even the artful backdrops that lift the aesthetic to a level that only Fahad Hussayn can achieve. “Banraa” which translates to BrideGroom is a meticulous blend of cultural influences, matchless detailing and whimsical imagery within Fahad Hussayn’s Print Museum’s latest Signature Wedding collection.

Here are 5 things that stood out to us in Banraa’s video:

Aena Khan

For Banraa, Aena Khan brings a youthful energy that feels perfectly at home within the world of South Asian weddings. As the face of the song and bridal campaign, she becomes a natural bridge between a new generation and the cultural traditions that continue to shape our celebrations, reflecting the way heritage is carried forward through each generation.

Appearing in bridal looks in shades of pink, orange and anari , Aena moves effortlessly through the song, capturing different moods of the wedding journey. Her graceful dancing and expressive performance bring warmth and authenticity to Banraa, echoing the joy, anticipation and celebration at the heart of South Asian wedding traditions.

More than simply showcasing the bridal ensembles, she brings them to life, embodying a modern South Asian woman whose connection to tradition feels both personal and contemporary.

Zain Zohaib

From singing Aya Laariye for Fahad Hussayn’s previous collection Mutanjan, Zain Zohaib returns for yet another unique collaboration with the brand as the duo’s soulful tempo’s carry the storyline forward. The aim of “Banraa” was to always accentuate the historic charm of South Asian weddings, and in true Fahad Hussayn fashion, music is always the medium that brings the overall theme to life.

The Symbols

As the video continues, our eyes caught a few details that were clearly subtle tributes to heritable symbols that still define the distinguished understanding of a South Asian wedding. The focal point of inspiration within Banraa was the “phool har” along with various other floral motifs that clearly reflect the significant importance that flowers have over festive occasions. Along with that we noticed motifs that carried the Ambi, which is culturally known as one of South Asia’s most famed ornamented detail as well as a symbol for abundance and auspicious new beginnings. From the sehra’s and haar’s and much more, Fahad Hussayn’s attention to detail becomes more and more matchless!

The Backdrops

Whether it’s dark so that the bright red can pop or it’s a wall with detailing that can only be found within the subcontinent, each shot and each detail has evidently been thoroughly researched and verified, which makes it more beautiful to witness.

The Bridal Collection

In true Fahad Hussayn fashion, the bridals are ceremoniously displayed in each part of Banraa. While the elements of Aena Khan and Zain Zohaib add an element of charm, the bridals truly captivate one’s attention with their uniquely designed detailing that continues to pay homage to the classic and quintessential South Asian bride. With precise detailing along with a meticulous blend of colors, Banraa’s bridals are a true, cultural signature.
